Get to know Michelle Bowman...

I've evolved from hands-on leadership to a broader focus on how organizations navigate complexity by interpreting, making decisions, and moving forward under pressure.

As the founder of ActionPoint, I've spent my career in senior marketing and communications roles, often stepping into situations where clarity, structure, and forward movement were needed quickly. My work spans healthcare, software, consumer electronics, and B2B services environments, whether in corporate roles or leading agency and consulting teams.

I started my career in Silicon Valley with respected public relations agencies Ogilvy & Mather and Waggener Edstrom, supporting both emerging companies and established brands, including Activision, Dell Computer, Microsoft, and Panasonic. That foundation formed how I approach communications today with grounded, relevant messaging connected to business outcomes.

Early roles taught me a calm approach to managing changes, including VP of Technology Communications, where I supported Washington Mutual (now Chase) through a critical organizational transformation. Later, as Director of Marketing at Volt Information Sciences, I hired and led the team to rebrand and develop campaigns that drove significant growth.

I established and built a content development team at Hitachi's consulting practice to support sales enablement and training. During a relocation from Seattle to Northern California, I provided interim communications for Intel and interim marketing communications for Premera Blue Cross. At Western Health Advantage, I managed all content development for health plan sales tools, editorial directions for four publications, and a multi-channel content marketing strategy.

My work as shifted from delivering campaigns to helping organizations clarify direction and sharpen corporate narratives, to helping teams create structure to move forward.
